when irony doesn't go far enough

regarding yesterday's post about how irony can't keep up; today's installment in world absurdity:

The president is an Onion plant.* [via slit, via cpk].

So basically nobody else said anything except "yes" and "thank you," because the president was so busy patting himself on the back.

He sounds like my grandfather, who had an incredible brain for finance but 5 years ago had a stroke and now can partially express ideas, as long as they're not too complex, but it's painfully obvious that he no longer understands the intricacies, and if he does, he can't effectively communicate them.
