pushing twenty

[livejournal.com profile] nein09 pointed to hundredpushups, which I just tried (seventeen before muscle-exhaustion; not bad but I know I could be stronger).

It's a nice little structured program and I think I will try it, as a strengthening complement to the brisk hillclimb I do nearly every day.

I think this sounds like a really good idea. I did a hard yoga class and a bunch of prostrations today so I'm not up for doing the initial test. Maybe for my birthday, I'll start doing real pushups.

I've been doing this. A caveat: It's really not a 6 week program, at least not for anyone I've heard talking about it. A common way to tackle the program is to do each week 3 times, taking each column in turn.

right -- i am discovering that I will probably need to repeat week 1 -- I started in column 3 but we'll see about week 2.
