If you read language blogs or Linguist List you've probably already found this.

LEXICON: Game without rules. I found it via Semantic Compositions and I'm proud to say I'm on screen 7 in less than 15 minutes.

It's really quite fun, if you're a linguistics fan and/or puzzle junkie (although this one is pretty linguistics-heavy). I think I could get into this kind of puzzle game if I had more time.

Does the medial S have to do anything with the question? Or am I on the right track to be thinking of locative adjuncts and things like that?

yes, the symbol in the middle of the page has a lot to do with the question.

"place" and "manner" are relevant to more than one area of linguistics.
