I've already put this on my del.icio.us links, but the more I read the better it gets.

What's not to like about a 1960's comic describing Communism: Threat to Liberty?

A postscript: if you use del.icio.us and I don't already know about it, please let me know! And if you don't use del.icio.us, why not?

Their about page is helpful. It's basically a way to have a web site keep your bookmarks (handy if you use multiple computers, as I know you do!), but it has a number of additional characteristics that make it really interesting:
* you don't put bookmarks into folders, you assign classification labels (we talked over coffee the other day about how hierarchies are not useful ontological descriptions, remember?) and, like gmail, you can assign more than one label to a given link. (Here's my freakshow items, and my funny items, and you may note that they overlap!)
* because your bookmarks are public, you can share them with other people (like I do above) and they're accessible to web-based visualization tools
* web-based bookmarks can be tracked by other people (for example, [livejournal.com profile] several_bees' bookmarks are here.
* it's free. I bet the username "imtboo" is open.
