FundRace is now allowing you to peek at who's donating to Presidential candidates in your neighborhood.

Please go look. Also of interest are national and city maps of where the money is being spent.

It won't surprise any of my readers to learn that Dubya is getting serious dollars.

It's interesting that it lists names and addresses of private donors (not sure how I feel about that). Found out that my former gynecologist (who might just be the best gynecologist *ever*) and her husband supported Clark.

It's private donations to a public cause, and its only of donations more than $200, I think.

But I'm pretty pleased with the idea -- a sneaky private donation tends to only benefit the very wealthy. Try just by zipcode and you'll see that there are a lot of $2000 GWB donors. That's the legal maximum. Many of these $2000 donors are "homemakers" or "students" who happen to live at the same address as CEOs, corporate lawyers, and stockbrokers.

As the SNL Church Lady might say, "how convenient!"
