In brief:
  • 23:23 Learning JUnit -- and the Eclipse IDE -- by the seat of my pants. It's kinda perversely fun (though tough on my pants). #
  • 07:59 google bike lanes! about fezzing time! gizmodo.com/5490018/ #
  • 16:47 gah. so wrapped up in coding i actually forgot when my train leaves. late going home. #

I often use twitter to mention what's happening or linkdump. I LT here for posterity.

I did years of C++ work, and then moved to Java. It was a strange transition (giving up control) but ultimately I really liked Java. Then I got a new job and had to learn .Net and C#. And honest-to-god, once I was over the rather short learning curve, I can honestly say I'd never go back to Java if I could at all help it. I honestly *love* C#. Visual Studio + ReSharper makes it a dream to program in, and the language itself is very powerful and elegant, with a solid class library.

But if I were forced to go back to Java (kicking and screaming), I'd use IntelliJ IDEA as my IDE :-)
