apparently Dylan Meconis was researching her (amazing) comic http://lutherlevy.com/, which protagonist is an 18th century young gentleman of Jewish descent, whose father (a converted Jew surnamed "Levy") named him Luther after Martin Luther. It is set in Germany though the dialogue is in English (with the understanding that it's "really" in German).

As part of her research, she wanted to look at the German Luther Bible to try to understand why it freaked so many liturgical scholars out, so she ran parts of it through Google translate.

These are the results. (but then, you probably understood that part already.)

Any speculation as to what verse she was translating?

Ah!!!! MT'ing = machine translating!!! I didn't catch that. Thanks for the explanation. And *no* idea about the verse. I bet my Lutheran liturgical scholar father could figure it out...
