In San Francisco
Apr. 4th, 2008 12:18 pmyesterday afternoon we landed in SFO for a short visit. I'm in Hayes Valley Green, on my OLPC laptop. This city's vaunted internet access isn't bad but isn't all it's cracked up to be.
apologies to all you bay area people -- we're here but we're busy, and leaving Sunday morning very early. if things go well today, we'll probably be back!

Date: 2008-04-05 06:20 pm (UTC)San Francisco people are so much more engaged than Seattle people; it's refreshing. Seattle folks sometimes --often-- walk on a busy street carefully avoiding acknowledging that anyone else is there, let alone a human being.

Date: 2008-04-05 06:27 pm (UTC)I discovered Isotope Comics not far from Bluebottle -- much as I love Zanadu in Seattle, Isotope is acomics shop that really treats it like an art form. I told Boo it's like walking past a movie theater and realizing it's more of a Harvard Exit or an Egyptian than a Pacific Place.
