(no subject)

On Saturday I went with [livejournal.com profile] wolfishsunshine to the Seattle Power Tool Race & Derby (see me and him there in the background). Then I went to see [livejournal.com profile] imtboo's closing night in West Seattle. Sunday we went to her cast party, and Monday morning we went off to the Olympics for a few days.

Today we are back from three days on the Olympic Peninsula (we stayed here).

Beautiful, and a great chance to spend some real time with [livejournal.com profile] imtboo, and to relax into our love for each other and play a little, and see the woods, and the lakes, and the beach.

I am way, way behind on LJ and probably won't catch up. If there are things you think i should see, please leave me a note here.

Congrats to both of your on your accomplishments of the past month, and on being able to take a well-earned vacation. That sounds like an awesome mini-vacation. I've been in that area in late Oct/early Nov twice, and once in April, and it's always been great. I bet it's even better in the summer!

Ack, can't edit comments! Did you see the "Tsunami evacuation route" signs on the way there? They always make me laugh. I know that it is actually a serious issue, if there ever is an earthquake in the wrong place, but for some reason driving through the totally flat areas near Hoquiam, etc, and seeing signs pointing up the great big hill makes me laugh - I guess because it is so totally obvious where the high ground is.

I didn't see those tsunami evacuation signs -- but I totally believe it. Along the coast they're everywhere -- even where there is no high ground.

Kind of scary, really!

Sounds lovely! I'm so glad you were able to do this together! Me, I'm holding my breath until the 7th when we head to South Bristol. I'm sad that you two won't be with us this year. But next? For sure!!!

I think more people should comment on the awesomeness of us seeing the Power Tool Race & Derby, the "derby" part becoming suddenly clear to us :)

It was awesomely awesome.
