someday I want to give a talk about the peculiar benefits and drawbacks of sexual reproduction in plants (as opposed to asexual budding), just so I can include a slide that says:

"never mind the polyps, it's the sex pistils"

you know, "sex pistils" has been kicking around in my head since AP Biology in high school, which would be... 1991. But "never mind the polyps" turned up washing dishes; who knows why?
