HOW TO (early a.m. version)

HOW TO:
  • get up five minutes before the scheduled alarm
  • get dressed and packed in five minutes
  • be ready to go fifteen minutes before the scheduled pickup time
and still feel rushed and late?

Here's how: have your shared ride to the airport show up 30 minutes early and call up, and say "oh, here I am". That's what happened to [livejournal.com profile] imtboo this morning.

Her ride was supposed to pick her up at 6:40a so they could go to the airport. At 6:12a, she called to say "I'm downstairs". Poor Boo was thrown into a bit of a tailspin -- she moved super fast; zero to packed and ready downstairs by 6:25, but she had to stop and remind herself not to panic, since her ride was early.

I was able to go back to sleep for a while, but then I got up, made some coffee, and have been running experiments all day.

right! i didn't mention that. luckily my experiments are not very high-cognitive-load right now -- just babysitting, so I could talk to you.

great i don't have to write that post , i can just point people here !
Yeah, i guess one of the people needing to be picked up said they didn't need to at the last minute so that's what happened !
They were nice about waiting though and you're right , I was fast ! Didn't get to say bye for as long as I wanted too though.
I love you.

je t'aime aussi! now that makes more sense -- somebody else got a ride at the last minute.

you were super fast! I was impressed. I miss you already...

Yesterday I went to work an hour early because the kitten woke me up. I actually couldn't figure out how to spend an extra hour, which is very unusual for such a book worm, not to mention my knitting obsession. But I think it had something to do with no milk in the house for coffee, and also needing to get my tax forms printed out and filled in...
