[lazyweb] support for open source contact management (for faculty)?

lapartera has (with some prodding [pats self on back]) posted a description of the last program that's tying her to Windows.

It's basically a sales management tool, which she has refitted to be a student-management tool in her role as a long-distance midwifery educator.

The "main office" is completely addicted to Microsoft, but they're not supporting her tools anyway. Have any of you knowledgeable people run across this sort of software for the Linux desktop? Head on over and let her know.


Full disclosure: lapartera is my mother, and she's pretty tech-savvy. It sure makes it easy for me to say "it's the kind of software my mother can use".
