oh yes
and now it can be told. Yesterday was
blackwingedboy's birthday, for which I made him a comic-book mix tape. And I cut my hair (well, that wasn't for the birthday, that was just good timing). I wish I had a working digital camera. I know. there will be pictures.
To make this "mixtape", I taught myself to do bookbinding. It wasn't the smoothest process ever, but the result was a two-sided book using Actual Comic Books as the signatures. I made the cover, cut, glued, and sewed the comics/signatures together myself, using the interweb as an source for instructions. It came out pretty well, and it makes me want to make more books.
One of the reasons I like my friendship with
blackwingedboy and
imtboo is that I feel that I have the freedom to take risks and try out new things.
Oh, and happy solstice!

Maybe I'll cut my hair, too? What do you think?

And if you flip it over, you get a different side (it's a book).
Regarding pictures, you'll have to wait for

I think if you do decide to cut it you should cut it between below your ears and shoulders... same length all the way around. I think that would be really flattering on you.
It would pop your eyes out !

I'm going to learn how to crochet while I'm gone.
The book, btw, is a masterpiece, lapartera. But not as much of one as the masterpiece you made in him.

As for trochee -- he and his brother are indeed two of my proudest productions! And it's lovely to know that he is appreciated as he should be -- of course most of what is to be appreciated he made of himself. trombo2 and I just provided the starting material.

Also, now that I read this, I see that instead of "crochet", I meant I'm going to learn how to be crotchety. It's MUCH easier and uses your whole body :)
Happy Christmas Eve!

And happy Christmas Eve to you, too. Or whatever. We're not too into the Christmas thing around here.
