to do this weekend

Following firinel's lead, I'm putting a to-do list here to try to stay motivated to do what I can:

not necessarily interesting, nor in order

• mow the lawn while it's still sunny
• hang out with damidnara while she's in town
• All day Sunday: help out imtboo and lgtheater in moving to Ballard
• read a paper, make notes on it, and write up a discussion paper for a class
• progress on a thesis outline (due Wednesday)
• read chapter 6 of Manning and Schütze
• taxes
• track down two missing corpora of English-language news articles about China
• train language models from said corpora
• read/edit/brainstorm on a paper I've been asked to co-author

Also I'll add the things I did anyway that weren't on the list [but, I might add, should have been!]:

• go for a walk with thevorak
• hang out with imtboo!

Ballard! Jeez, we used to live there (well, right at the intersection of Ballard/Crown Hill really -- 7523 12th St, up a few blocks from 75th and 15th. If they're not gone there's a QFC and Safeway opposite each other on 85th and 15th....and we used to eat at this little converted house-restaurant by the QFC all the time, damme if I can remember the name of it. Bad coffee there tho.
