Time Out magazine has already proclaimed Manhattan to be the New Brooklyn, so perhaps it's more a matter, what with the gentrification that doubled the rent on my downtown Bklyn apt. in the space of a year, of Brooklyn becoming the next Queens. Or perhaps the art-school graduates flocking to Williamsburg, Long Island City, and Astoria will secede from Kings and Queens counties to form a sixth borough: Loftlands, or Artopia, or something.
