O internet: entertain me

I am bored and distracted by some painful and possibly unnecessary drama, and I am unable to pay attention to anything for very long.

Thus I post meaningless thoughts and silliness, and record for my own future use possible good clever terrible ideas.

For example: I think it would be entertaining to use support vector machines or a maximum entropy model to try to automatically learn ratings on Hot or Not -- it's fairly easy to do data gathering, and extracting features from the photograph (and ideally the text profile too!) is a matter of standard photo processing.
