That's exactly how I feel so often about the state of theater in this country. It completely irritates me when people say things like " I enjoyed that show. " To me enjoyment is good but the Arts can do so many other things and it's so needed. I am not interested in art as entertainment. I want to create a reaction in people that isn't just enjoyment. Oh you can't get me started on this... Good essay!!!
