...seems to be best appreciated by four-year-olds.

The downstairs neighbors' three-and-a-half-year-old has an orange balloon with black fur-like stripes. "What is that?" I ask. He grins, and holds it out for inspection.
"It's a tiger -- no, wait -- it's a balloon! Wait -- which is it?" He looks at his mom ("what a loon! I love it!") and laughs, and she shrugs ("I dunno -- maybe you'd better hang out with him and find out.").

Another fun thing to do with little kids is make noises that violate phonotactic constraints. It's more fun before they've learned to make words, and are just playing with sounds. Glottal stops go over well, with a great deal of puzzlement.

Also, rolling your tongue is always popular. It's great to watch them try to figure out how to do it themselves.
