"I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's," wrote visionary poet William Blake. I suggest you write out that quote and keep it in plain sight throughout 2008. The coming months will be prime time for you to design a highly organized, richly disciplined approach to living the life you want to live, and doing it with such rigor and vigor that you will never again have to be controlled by or pay constant homage to someone else's life plan.

It's clear to me that both imtboo and I are taking William Blake's suggestion to heart this year: creating paths rather than walking the well-trodden ones, since there do not seem to exist the paths for us that we want.

That is very cool except I'm not for the 'richly disciplined' part. That's the part of most other people's systems that makes us unhappy. Organization, rigor and vigor are excellent things though. Just replace 'richly disciplined' with 'illimitable' and I'm there!
