trocheeI am mildly hooked on Frets on Fire, a Guitar Hero open source project.
D. has photo documentation of me with my keyboard sideways in my lap, rocking out on the right shift key. I've never played Guitar Hero, but I'm sold on the game concept in a big way, and I may end up buying the GH games. Such a difference from the big two game models (puzzles and violence!), or the trailing third (fast-twitch geometry, e.g. Tetris and Katamari Damacy). The addition of music makes this a very different sort of game than Tetris; much closer to Dance Dance Revolution than anything else I can think of.
