Carla Speed McNeil announces the theme of the new Finder collection (published online): Rachel is competing for admission to the Llaverac clan. Says CSM:
I had not seen LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE before writing this book, really I hadn't... clan conformation competitions are equal parts beauty contest, horse show, fashion runway, and Vegas club show.
