evan's suggestion, I upgraded my home computers (desk- and lap-top) to Edgy Eft. It's very shiny, and includes Firefox 2 (which I like quite a lot!). Also, Edgy seems to boot faster.
bonus note: Trochees are even, according to Marc van Oostendorp.
