I just spent the last hour and a half backing up my laptop, or at least all the files *I* think are critical.

I'm going to try to wipe it and reinstall, this time with ubuntu. But I want to put the image on the hard disk before it gets any more complicated.

I 've done nothing ! I am tired. I still need to eat and shower.
Oh . and clean my office. But that might have to wait till morning . Because tonight might be me watching tv. Heh.

Ubuntu is kind of a pretentious name for a piece of software. Just saying.
I am sure it's great. I am being a snob myself.

Hey, "ubuntu" is a noble aspiration.

But what I think is probably the most pretentious is the proposed translations. I suspect that if you get picky about any word about morality and community from any language, you get a pretentious-sounding translation.

I chose it because I hear it's good. And it's pretty easy to spell!

ubuntu is what dkg installed on the laptop he gave me. I'm pretty happy with it. Now if only I could find contact management software that was customizable and allowed unlimited notes on contacts, I'd be a linux user for sure. Until that happens I'm stuck with ACT and Windows for work. GRRR.
